How do you use marine topside paint?
Apply one coat of Marine Coatings Primer for Wood & Fiberglass. Allow to dry four hours and sand smooth with #150 grit sandpaper. Repeat Primer application as necessary to achieve smooth surface. Sand the final coat of Primer with 220 grit sandpaper then finish with two coats of Topside Paint.

Can you color topside paint?
TotalBoat Wet Edge topside paint can only be tinted by mixing it with other colors of Wet Edge. Universal pigments, pigment dispersions for epoxy and polyester resins, and other hardware store grade tints should never be mixed into TotalBoat Wet Edge.

A boat can be painted on the bottom with topside paints, but it cannot be painted on the topside with bottomside paints.
Can you roll and tip gelcoat?
For applying your gelcoat, you can either roll the gelcoat on, like paint, or you can spray it on. We also sell a Brushable Gelcoat that can be applied with a brush. If you decide to roll on the gelcoat, be sure to use a solvent-resistant 1/8” or ¼” nap. Be sure not to use foam rollers, as they tend to leave bubbles.
Can I tint marine paint?
Marine-Tex epoxy putty comes in white or gray colors, and ONLY the white Marine-Tex can be tinted. Note that no pure color can be achieved by adding pigments.
