What does KSOU stand for?
Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysuru, is a State Public University established by the act of State Legislature in 1992, and was brought into force on 1st June 1996.
Why did the UGC withdraw the affiliation of UGC-recognised universities?
The UGC had withdrawn the affiliation to the university from 2012-13 through a notice dated June 15, 2015, pointing to a violation of jurisdiction and guidelines laid out by the UGC. After the UGC granted the recognition, many students and representative organisations took to social media to express their grievance.
