How long does it take to redirect your post?
It takes up to five working days to set the service up. You can apply up to three months before you move, or six months after. You can apply for a maximum of eight people at one time.
Can post be redirected for free?
You can’t redirect your mail for free, but you can either pay to redirect your mail or update your address across all providers at the same time.
Can you redirect UK mail abroad?
Can I redirect mail to another country? Yes, you can redirect mail from a UK address to a new address abroad. We’ll direct all mail using our International Standard service.
How do you check if my mail is being forwarded?
Call 1-800-ASK-USPS and ask to be transferred to the post office in the city where you previously lived if you have not begun to receive your forwarded mail. Talk to the postmaster or clerk in that office to check the status of your address change.
How does Royal Mail post redirection work?
When your mail is redirected, it will be sent to the delivery office that serves your old address first. From there, it will be forwarded using our 1st Class Mail service to your new address or, using International Standard if you are moving to an address outside the UK.

Can you redirect mail internationally?
Can you forward mail internationally? Some mail forwarding providers will provide international mail forwarding services, but you can expect to pay an additional fee for this.

How do I stop mail from going to my old address?
A Change of Address (COA) request can be temporary or permanent. Both options can be requested and completed online or by filling out a PS Form 3575 acquired from your local Post Office™. The PS Form 3575 form can no longer be printed from your home computer.
