Does redirect work on creatures?
Creature spells and the Invocation do not target anything. Using Redirect on them will do nothing of use. There’s no target, so there’s no target you can change. So your opponent’s Invocation will resolve like normal and they’ll still get the tokens.
Is redirected damage still combat damage?
When you redirect combat damage it is still combat damage. In short, the replacement effect only does what it says (cause the damage to be dealt to something different), and nothing else.
Can you redirect player damage to a Planeswalker?

Yes, that would work, but wording is very important here. The key is that Captain’s Maneuver is a replacement effect that changes what is getting damaged. No, planeswalkers aren’t players, they’re just a type of permanent. Lava Spike does NOT treat them like players. You cannot actually target a planeswalker with Lava Spike.

It can! Auras are the only permanent spells that have targets, but they only target anything when they’re on the stack. Once they resolve and enter the battlefield, they no longer target the permanent they’re enchanting.

It can only redirect spells or abilities which can legally target it. However, it can target any spell or ability. There is nothing wrong with your opponent paying 2 life to try and change the target of your Go for the Throat, then fail to. It can only redirect spells or abilities which can legally target it.
Does Yuriko ability count as Commander damage?
Nope. Xantcha, Sleeper Agent and Yuriko, the Tiger’s Shadow’s abilities don’t involve combat damage, so they don’t have anything to do with commander damage. While combat damage is still loss of life, regular damage and combat damage aren’t the same thing.
