What fish are in the River Ouse Ely?
There are some decent pike and zander here. I have had pike just short of 20ib, and know of 25ib+ pike here. A couple were caught over the last few years. The best methods are patenostered or float fished live baits and ledgered sea baits.

Where can I fish on the River Ouse?
Ouse Angling Preservation Society offers coarse fishing on most of the Sussex Ouse downstream of the Anchor Inn (north of Barcombe Mills) as far as the downstream end of the Hamsey Cut about a mile and a half north of Lewes, a distance of approximately six miles.
Can I fish the River Lark?
The fishing is excellent all year round. You can fish in the front of the garden throughout the year as not moving water. The moving river around the marina you can NOT fish within close season. Species wise we’ve got a wide variety: Tench, bream, perch, roach, dace, zander, pike the very occasional eel.
