- Get a lot of poison resist (the Thief set has pretty good poison resists and it’s easy to get)
- Get a spider shield (lets you completely block poison/toxin attacks)

How do I get to chaos witch Quelaag without poison?
Update: Just beat Quelaag, thanks guys! Wear high poison resistance gear, get the rusted iron ring and poison bite ring, and run very fast. You’ll probably still be poisoned, but that’s the only way I can think of to avoid having it proc easily.

How do you ring both bells in Dark Souls?
Go down the path, ignoring the docile egg-men along the way. From here, you will encounter a boss gate to the next boss, Quelaag. Once you’ve killed Quelaag, head inside the building and turn the level to ring the second bell of awakening, which will open up the gate to a fortress that was next to Blacksmith Andre.
