Can you swim at Lums Pond State Park?
Lums Pond Beach is located in Lums Pond State Park on the largest freshwater pond in Delaware. Swimming is not permitted and there are no lifeguards on duty.

Leashed pets are welcome at Killens Pond State Park. No pets are allowed in the water park, however, but the trails and other outdoor areas are fine. Be respectful and courteous on your visit; clean up pet waste and do not bring aggressive, unvaccinated, or bothersome pets with you.

Cape Henlopen Park welcomed me with their beautiful bike paths, breathtaking views and clean roads. For out of state visitors, the fee was $10, which I was able to pay with my debit card at the machine on the way in. I drove directly to the peninsula to check out the beach and lighthouses.

What is the Killens Pond boardwalk?
The new state-of-the art elevated boardwalk allows pedestrians and bikers a safe passage along Killens Pond Road while benches and bump outs allow for wildlife watching and fishing. Kayakers and boaters can launch from the boat launch at the far end of the walkway.
