The difference is in the frame. The S-Works bikes use a different carbon lay-up. The S-Works frames are lighter and stiffer. Also they come with ceramicspeed BB as standard.

Is the 2000 M4 a good bike?
The bike I purchased is the 2000 M4, I did not see a review for it so am placing it under this product review. I rode a lot of high end bikes and this baby cooks. It has excellent acceleration and climbs like a banshee. The ride is great and the Time carbon fork really soaks up the bumps.
Why does the seat bolt on the specialized M4 have a twist?
The seat tube design does allow the seat bolt to clamp properly. The mechanic at Supergo showed me how every M4 road frame that was on the showroom floor could not prevent the seat from being twisted and he admitted that it was a design flaw by Specialized. The seat starts off by twisting from side-side when riding.
Is the Supergo M4 Pro A good bike?
The bike is a little rough on long rides on bad roads but other than that it is great except for one major design flaw. I have the M4 Pro red and black and I think it is a 2000. The aero seat tube does not allow the seat bolt to clamp properly. Supergo tried numerous seat posts but they would all slip.
