The Dallas Arboretum invites guests to bring in their own coolers, food and drink, including beverages for adults and children, to craft the right picnic experience for their tastes and needs.
Do you have to pay to park at the arboretum?
Parking is free 364 days of the year (we are closed December 25). The Arboretum has two parking lots. Our main lot is adjacent to the entrance of the garden. Our second lot is located south of the front lawn and is known as the south lot.

We are not able to store guests’ bags or luggage or hold onto it in any way. Please note: for smaller handheld photo equipment, you do not need to pay a commercial garden photography fee – only the price of regular admission and parking are required to enjoy a day and take personal pictures in the garden.

We found gate 4 to be very convenient. Brandy B. Gate 4 you park across the street in a parking garage and walk across in an underground tunnel to get closer to the children’s area. Gate 1 has parking on/ next to the arboretum and the entrance is by restrooms/gift shop/food outlook.
